If your block paving is sinking, lifting or holding water, the block usually isn't the problem. What's underneath it is. Drive Revive lifts your existing block, rebuilds the ground underneath properly, and relays it, for a fraction of the cost of a new driveway.
You've probably stopped noticing it, or you've started planning where you park around it. A dip by the car door. A block that rocks when you step on it. A crack that's slowly turning into three. None of that happened overnight, and none of it happened because the block paving failed. Block paving rarely fails. What's underneath it does.
A driveway takes real weight, every day, in all weather. A car rolling on and off the same few square metres, thousands of times a year. If there isn't a properly compacted sub-base doing the actual load-bearing work under those blocks, that weight has to go somewhere. It pushes the ground down. The blocks follow it down. And once one block drops, the ones next to it start moving too.
On a lot of the drives we lift, there's no proper sub-base at all, just a bed of sand laid straight onto the original soil, with the block sitting on top. It looks fine on the day it's laid. It has no strength to it. Soil moves. It compresses under load and shifts with the seasons, and sand on top of it moves right along with it. There's nothing structural stopping the driveway from settling the moment the ground underneath does.
Drive Revive is a full lift and relay of your existing driveway. We don't rip out block that's still good and charge you for new. We lift what's there, sort out what's actually gone wrong underneath, and put your own block back down properly.
We look at your drive in person, work out where and why it's failing, and give you a straight answer on whether Drive Revive is the right fix for it.
Every block comes up and gets stacked ready to go back down. Nothing gets thrown away that doesn't need to be.
We dig out and rebuild the sub-base wherever it isn't doing its job, compacted in proper layers and graded to fall water away from your house.
Any block that's cracked, chipped or badly worn gets swapped for a close match. Everything else, your existing block, goes straight back.
Block goes back down on a proper sharp sand bed, compacted, and jointed with kiln-dried sand.
A driveway that looks and feels brand new, on ground that's actually built to carry it.
New block paving is priced by the square metre, block included, and it adds up fast. Drive Revive uses the block you've already paid for. You're only paying for the work: lifting it, rebuilding the ground underneath, and putting it back down properly. For most driveways, that's a saving of thousands of pounds against ripping everything out and starting again.
Typical two-car driveway, lift and relay, sub-base rebuilt where needed
Same size driveway, dug out and installed from scratch, new block included
Based on a typical two-car driveway. Every drive's different, so we'll confirm your exact price at your free site visit.
Puddles that sit in the same spot after every bit of rain, instead of running off.
Individual blocks that move underfoot, or a section that's visibly lower than the rest.
The spots where your wheels rest day after day take the most punishment, and it's often the first place to sink
Block creeping outward at the edges because there's nothing solid holding the line.
The block itself is still decent, it just doesn't sit right anymore.
Daily use accelerates settlement that a weak sub-base was never going to cope with.
We design and install driveways across Glasgow and Ayrshire, so we know what a driveway actually needs to last, not just look right on the day it's laid. Drive Revive is carried out by the same team, not handed off to subcontractors.
Long enough to know exactly why driveways fail, and how to stop it happening again.
The people who lift your drive are the same people who relay it.
Proper protection for you, on every job we do.
The person who quotes the job is the person you can call throughout it.
In most cases, yes. Lifted and relaid block with fresh jointing and correct falls sits tighter and flatter than it has in years, even without replacing a single block.
We replace it. Drive Revive includes swapping out any block that's cracked, badly worn or beyond saving, matched as closely as possible to what's already there.
Most two-car driveways take 3 to 5 working days, depending on ground conditions and weather. We'll give you a firm timeframe at your site visit.
Not always, and we'll tell you honestly if it isn't. Where the block itself is too far gone, or the layout needs to change completely, a new install makes more sense. We'll say so at the free site visit rather than sell you the wrong job.
